Rockway Falls

Location: Rockway

Watercourse: Fifteen Mile Creek

Waypoint: Google Map

Summary: Rockway Falls is one of the primary examples of a "ramp" waterfall. Water slides over the bedrock at a very steep angle, but does not lose contact with the rock at any time.

The Rockway Conservation Area protects a portion of the Niagara Escarpment, the Rockway Falls, and the diverse flora and fauna of the Carolinian Forest. There are actually three falls here, the middle falls located about 70m downstream, and the lower falls is further down the gorge.
